Why are docker images pushed to different orgs in the open source version of DataHub project?

Original Slack Thread

Hi folks!
Is there any reason for pushing docker images to different orgs in the open source version?
https://github.com/datahub-project/datahub/blob/85fa5a1c4fdf2b4c4439558fa3a4cbbfd3491fbf/.github/workflows/docker-unified.yml#L26-L35
Or for having datahub-ingestion image built on top of the Acryl’s one? Surprising considering there is a datahub-ingestion-base image already in the open source one.

Thanks!

<@U03BEML16LB> might be able to explain this!

Any update on this? Should this be fixed or it is on purpose?

<@U03MF8MU5P0> , you have been recently updating docker images. Any comment on this?

The transition from linkedin to acryldata is not changing anything besides the controlling organization. The images will still be open-source and build from the open-source DataHub Project. Eventually all images will be under acryldata

ok, got it! :thankyou1:
