Building custom column level lineage between Salesforce and Snowflake

Hi, I want to build custom column level lineage between salesforce and snowflake. I tried https://datahubproject.io/docs/api/tutorials/lineage/#add-column-level-lineage but didnt have much success. Is it because this only works for one type of ingestion source and not cross source?
